1. Islamic Finance Information Service (IFIS)

IFIS is the only database which contains information on Islamic economics and finance. It is a very unique resource for researchers who is dealing with Islamic Finance and Management and it is accessible from the Library and MIHE only. 

2. Journal Article Index
 

The journal article index is an online resource accessible to all. The library receives around 85 current scholarly journals. The printed copies are held in the library. The online Journal Article Index assists in locating articles in the Journal Section by using a keyword search.

  •     You can search for an article by entering keywords or phrases relating to:

    1.      the subject: e.g. Turkey
    2.      the title of the article: e.g. human rights
    3.      the author's surname: e.g. Esra

  • You can also conduct an advanced search by clicking on the highlighted Advanced Form option shown on the right-hand side of the screen.
  • If there is a keyword match, the results are displayed. These show the article's title and author and in which journal it can be located. You also have the option to print the results of your search.
  • For further assistance on how to use the website you can click on the Help button shown on the left-hand side of the screen.
     

3. Index Islamicus On CD-ROM 1906-2005: A bibliography of Publications on Islam and the Muslim World since 1906.

Index Islamicus is an internationally known bibliography compiled and edited by C.H. Bleaney at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies). It is one of the most comprehensive reference tools on Islam and the Muslim world.  The Index covers materials on Muslim World and Muslims written by Muslim scholars, Western orientalists and social scientists in European languages.
The library holds the 7th edition of Index Islamicus on a CD-ROM format from 1906 to 2005 as well as the printed copies.This latest edition includes more than 305.000 records on Islamic Studies.
